Hou Youyang, from Peking University, is a member of the founding team of Songshuhui.net and one of the major contributors. Since her third year of university, she’s been an accomplished scientific writer published in Focus Magazine, QUO, Men’s Vogue, Baike Zhishi and popular science articles in the Nanfang Weekly. Her stories have been picked up in various media outlets. This August she will go to Michigan State University to pursue a doctorate in cognitive neuroscience. She finds science fascinating, especially psychology; and hopes to use her writing to change the public’s misperceptions about psychology by presenting scientific knowledge in fun ways. Her hope for the future is to straddle the worlds of academia and scientific writing.
